About Us

Concrete Machinery started back in the early 1980’s by owner Raymond Arthur Hawman, who did his apprenticeship with Barlows and later started his career with Eclipse Engineering. Worked his way into a National field manager position for static batch plants and related concrete equipment.

Deciding early on to break away on his own, he started firstly as Masterscale where he balanced and refurbished aggregate weigh scales for concrete mixers and bins.

Concrete equipment was the primary focus and soon started his long-standing relationships with all the major construction supergroups. Purchasing, reconditioning, and trading in both used and new equipment. Later in the 1990s, son Shandon Hawman joined for a three-year stint learning the trade. Building and Construction Machinery was then formed and traded until 2006 when Concrete Machinery was registered and has continued since. Shandon took over the business after Raymond fell ill with a brain condition and could no longer work.

Concrete Machinery has since grown with the Concrete and cement industries, also becoming the go-to company in South Africa for bulk cement silos, selling quality used and new silos.

Today Concrete Machinery has built relationships and business partners extending networks and expanding into different fields including lifting equipment, yellow metal, screening, and crushing equipment. We can now offer you every solution to equipment requirements and package a cost effectively deal in today’s economy.
